Stamford Public Schools Launches Newly Redesigned Website for Improved Information Access
Waterbury, Connecticut (PRWEB) May 10, 2007 -- Stamford Public Schools today launched a new web presence that is more accessible to all of its stakeholders - teachers, students, parents, community members, and prospective parents. In partnership with QScend Technologies, the school system redesigned its site to be easier to navigate, more intuitive, and more flexible than its old site.
"We're making information about Stamford Public Schools more readily accessible to everyone," said Joshua Starr, Ed.D., superintendent of Stamford Public Schools. "The new website will help us communicate efficiently with the public and share data and resources among our entire teaching and learning community."
Using QScend's web-based QContent™ software, designated Stamford Public Schools staff will be able to make quick changes to department web pages, thereby providing visitors with more news and information that is up-to-date, accurate and vital. And they can make those changes 24 hours a day, from anywhere there is Internet access.
"The new site has a fresh, consistent design that is dynamic and easy to use," said Amy Karwan, Stamford Public Schools Project Manager of the College Bound District Program, which funded the development of the site. "We are excited to be able to provide current information on a consistent basis."
Karwan added that Stamford Public Schools chose QScend because the company was able to match the district's practical needs to maintain its own content, without relying on the city's IT department, while adding a sophisticated, friendly, and sharp design.
"QScend's staff members are good listeners," Karwan said. "All along the way, they worked with us patiently to get everything just right."
"Customer service is job one for us," said Keith LeBeau, President of QScend Technologies. "By working closely with our clients, we can respond quickly to their needs, better enhance or redesign their websites when incorporating our suite of products, and take into account their suggestions for future software releases."
