Fire-Breathing Website Puts Southlake Carroll Dragons at Top of the Internet

Southlake, Tex. (PRWEB) November 5, 2007 -- The Southlake Carroll Dragons have built a national reputation as a high school football power over the past five years, winning three consecutive mythical national titles. In that time the school has produced more than 20 NCAA Division 1-A college players.

But Carroll's cross country runners ranks among the best in the nation, and the school has eight All America swimmers, state champion golf teams and a tennis team currently ranked third among Texas 5A schools.

Who knew? Until now, mostly students, coaches, parents and a few green-blooded Dragon supporters. That changed in October when the all-new Website of the Carroll Athletic Boosters came online at www.carrolldragons.org.

Now, fans everywhere can find video highlights of Dragon football games and coverage of all the school's state-sanctioned sports at the new Website. To ensure a high level of quality commensurate with the school district's reputation for excellence, the booster site presents professionally developed and managed content.

The site was designed and is actively managed by Southlake-based i5 web works, a full-service Web development company. i5 assembled a coalition of local companies to provide professionally produced content. The Southlake Journal provides the majority of news items, and photos come predominantly from professional photographers at REB Photo, Inc., and RCT Photo, Inc.

After previous unsatisfying ventures with the site, Booster Club President Jack Luna couldn't be happier with the i5's work. "It finally looks the way we wanted it to," Luna said. "A Carroll Dragon Website of this caliber was way past due."

I5 web works co-founder Carita Weaver has more than a professional interest in the site. Her daughter Kiah is a member of Carroll's highly regarded Emerald Belles dance line, and son, Kody, is a varsity football player.

"It's personally satisfying to see all Carroll students get additional recognition for their contributions to the school and the community," Weaver said. "We are doing this to showcase the excellent all-around athletic program in the Carroll Independent School District."

The Carroll booster site does more than raise awareness. It was designed to raise money for booster activities, too.

"We are just beginning to open advertising slots on the site," Weaver said. "This will help fund athletic programs in Carroll ISD and add further features to the site."
