ShouldISaySomething.com -- A New Advice Website with a Split Personality
MOUNT KISCO, N.Y. (Business Wire EON) January 29, 2008 -- Created by writer, Gina Bruce, and coach, Alisa Deitz, "Should I Say Something?" invites sticky situations and tough questions from readers and replies with savvy, sensitive, and sometimes smart-alecky replies.
"When people need advice, they often go to more than one person. So we give two viewpoints," explained Bruce. "Since Alisa is a life coach, she offers a sensible, insightful solution. My only training is a million years of therapy and an opinionated mother, so I answer like the friend you've had since 3rd grade. But with both of us you get answers that are from the heart and the gut."
For example, a reader recently wrote in complaining about a friend who had become miserable to deal with. Deitz kindly advised the woman to tell her friend she was worried about her, while Bruce said, "Just because someone goes to pieces, doesn't mean you always have to pick her up."
Another way "Should I Say Something?" differentiates itself is with quick turnaround. "When people write in, we know they have a pressing issue. So we try to answer them within a day or two," explained Deitz.
Bruce and Deitz created "Should I Say Something?" because friends often approached them for advice. "We both recognized a deep need for people to know how to deal with troubling issues," said Deitz.
The site also features quotations, book recommendations, and links to other sites. It will soon offer full graphic advertising capability as well.
